Bunkhouses are designed to provide holiday cottage style accommodation for large groups of people. Unlike some traditional bunkhouses I will also accept last minute bookings from small groups and individuals on a per person basis.
School holidays
Brechfa Bunkhouse is normally booked by large groups on a sole use basis. For £2275 from friday evening to the following friday morning the property works out at under £11 per person per night. This price includes all bed linen but not towels. It also includes a complementary tour of the farm with the opportunity to feed the animals. (Children must be accompanied by their parents.) At the time of booking a complementary activities booklet with a range of suggestions for free and low cost activities for families will be supplied to help you plan your holiday.
Weekends - during term time
There are two options for bookings for a weekend, depending on your plans for the weekend.
Most groups want to have a leasurely breakfast, (especially if they partied the night away), before blowing the cobwebs away with another trip into the Forest and returning for a shower and evening meal before travelling home Sunday evening or staying Sunday overnight or setting out on a monday morning. £850
Other groups make plans for places or activity centers to visit on their way home and so pack up and leave before 10am on a Sunday. £700 (Please be certain that the members of your group will be sober and ready to leave early on Sunday morning if booking this option. If in any doubt I recommend booking the property for use on the Sunday as well.)
Mid Week - during term time
Gilfach Wen Barn is available for either sole use at £325 per night or £15 per person per night.
Last Minute bookings
Short breaks during school holidays.
When available, £375 per night.
Individuals and Small Groups
I only accept bookings for weekends and during school holidays from small groups and individuals on a last minute basis. Depending on the time of year this will be a maximum of a month in advance. When booked on this basis groups must expect that they will be allocated bedrooms to the best fit for their group, with the aim of ensuring that they will not be sharing bedrooms with members of another group. They will be sharing the rest of the facilities with other visitors. The prices are £17.50 per person per night at weekends and during school holidays. £15.00 per person per night for Sunday - Thursday during term times.
Regular Monday to Friday bookings from people looking for accommodation while working in the area are welcome.
