Gilfach Wen is both a working farm and the venue for courses in bushcraft. We provide a Residential Forest School.
Gilfach Wen is adjacent to Brechfa Forest, the largest man made forest in Europe. There are three mountain bike trails in the forest, each catering for different levels of experience. All of the 50 square miles of forest is open to walkers, horse riders and cyclists, and there is a network of public footpaths, bridleways and byways crossing the common land and farmland surrounding the forest. The forest is a venue for pleasure rides and the RAC rally.
